In Loving Memory

In Memory of
ROB VERT
1979-2013

U-Haul Team member Rob Vert passed away on Sunday, February 17th, following an ATV accident. He was 33.

Vert was born in Michigan and raised in Arizona. He started ice skating as a toddler and was an avid hockey player throughout his life, playing in Arizona, Michigan and Alaska. He was a sports fan and loved riding his quad.

He joined the U-Haul Facilities and Construction Team in January 2006 as a project coordinator.
“Throughout Rob’s career he managed all maintenance-related projects including Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance, roof repair and replacement, and storage buildouts,” noted Tom Casey, director of U-Haul Facilities and Construction. “Also, he assisted in disaster-relief efforts and helped to rebuild facilities following Hurricanes Katrina, Ike and Sandy, just to name a few. Rob was a strong, self-confident person who was not afraid to take on a challenge.”

“Rob was a tremendous asset to U-Haul,” added Carlos Vizcarra, president of AMERCO Real Estate Company. “His loss will be mourned on both a professional and personal level.”

Rob Vert is survived by his infant son Levi; girlfriend Alicia Peters (Levi’s mother) and her two children, Christopher and Elysium Peters, who Rob loved and embraced as his own; parents Roberta and Ron; brother Ryan and sister Renee.
